They see it as their land, so they're taking it, no valid reason, they just like to feel powerful. Unfortunately it often seems to be human nature to do this. Countries like Iraq have oil, so they send in the troops, (Afganistan, apparently, is strategic though!). Tibet has nothing to offer and I think China is a bit too big for the Americans to handle! I'm aware of the terrible things done in Tibet the first time China invaded and you're right, they shouldn't have the games.
