What about the development in society back in the 19th century?
I guess I was just to naive to recognize that the development of society was just accepted in western Europe.
Its hard to accept that killing innocent people do not draw enough attention. What do they have to do until someone tries to stop this silly war? Nuclear weapons?
They see it as their land, so they're taking it, no valid reason, they just like to feel powerful. Unfortunately it often seems to be human nature to do this. You're not alone in wondering why, I doubt if the rest of the world can find a good reason either!
(Don't worry about your use of words, they're fine!).

In response to:Olympic games in China

That may be right but what I am still questioning ist the reason for the conflict in Tibet these days.
China do not gain something from a poor country like Tibet and I cannot think of the possibility that Tibet is a pain in the Ass for China, sorry for my use of words ;).
Just because the inhabitants of Tibet seem not to follow the chinese regime?

In response to:Olympic games in China

That seems to be the only reason the west gets involved. Countries like Iraq have oil, so they send in the troops, (Afganistan, apparently, is strategic though!). Tibet has nothing to offer and I think China is a bit too big for the Americans to handle! As always, it's just plain old greed that drives them, "help" them out in exchange for cheap oil!

In response to:Olympic games in China

No oil?

I guess I have to dive a lot deeper into this kind of topic.
Thanks for the advice.
I'm aware of the terrible things done in Tibet the first time China invaded and you're right, they shouldn't have the games.
